Born on May 9, 1947 in the city of Kazan. USSR.
Married. Two children and a grandson are involved in my work.
The native language is Russian. Hebrew is weak at the household level. English only at the level of technical translation with a dictionary.
1964 – 1971. I graduated from the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute, specializing in mining engineer, geophysicist, majoring in: geophysical methods of prospecting and mineral exploration.
1980 – 2000. I worked as a leader in the development of analysis and automation equipment using geophysical methods.
2000 г. I repatriated to Israel in Haifa.
2001 г. In my home laboratory, I began to consider the possibility of accurate short-term earthquake prediction. It was found that the change in the reaction of the mullet and the sound reaction of the Alpheus crustacean are 30 minutes ahead of the earthquake. At the Technion in Haifa, the possibility of automating the use of mullet for earthquake forecasting was tested.
2002-2004. Good results were obtained for correlating changes in the behavior of dogs with Charlotte syndrome and subsequent earthquakes. An expert from the Israeli Ministry of Science gave a positive conclusion on the discovery of a predictive wave moving toward the site of the future earthquake at a constant speed.
Linear clouds-precursors of earthquakes were discovered, a physical model of their formation was presented, the clouds were called “Heralds”.
2004-2005. A sensor was created that records a long-wave gravitational-seismic wave with an annular front converging from the periphery to the center at a speed of about 100 km per hour. (The maximum diameter of the circumference of this wave: the size of the globe.) This wave is called the “Kozyrev-Yagodin Wave” (KaY-wave).
The center of convergence of this wave is the epicenter of the future earthquake. The wave front is the front of the soliton, the anomaly recorded by the sensor. The amplitude of this anomaly is related to the magnitude of a future earthquake.
Monitoring the motion of a soliton by stations with the created sensor provides data for calculating the place, time, and strength of a future earthquake. In the case of a magnitude of a future earthquake of 6 or more, the further the stations are located, the earlier the parameters of a future earthquake will be obtained.
Therefore, the optimal application for the discovery, patent, System: is the Global Network for the short-term earthquake forecast.
2012 г. Tests of the System were conducted on the forecast of real earthquakes of magnitude 6 to 9, hours and tens of hours before the start of the earthquake under the control of RES and EMERCOM of Russia. During the tests, 20 earthquakes were predicted in the Mediterranean Sea, the Middle East, Russia, Chile ... There was not a single false forecast.
The experts concluded that the discovery of the Kozyrev-Yagodin wave (KaY-wave), the Heralds cloud-precursors was confirmed, and earthquake forecasts were highly rated.
Based on the test results, the Chairman of the RES confirmed that station modules with tested sensors are recommended as the basis of an (international) earthquake prediction network based on a complex using KaY-wave monitoring.
2013. Experiments on similar forecasting of volcanic eruptions in the Kamchatka region were successfully conducted. Received recommendation prof. A.V. Nikolaev to conduct research on this topic.
2016 - 2017. I was invited and successfully spoke at SEISMO 2016 and 2017 in Russia and at a meeting of the Knesset Commission in Israel.
2019. The system is recognized in Russia and Israel, all the positive conclusions of international experts are recognized.
In Russia, they want to supply several stations, but they do not have funding.
In Israel, the Chairperson of the Earthquake Preparedness Commission has been advised that due to the small size of the state, it is optimal for the country to participate in a single Global Earthquake Prediction Network.
