1st Workshop on

Ethics of Public Robots and AI

The workshop brought together theoretical and empirical perspectives on citizens' participation in automated service design processes (co-engineering) and policy development (co-governance).

It focused on how the public is, should be, and could be involved in developing rules and regulations for deploying intelligent systems and robots in the context of public services.

The workshop provided a forum for researchers from diverse scientific fields, including administrative sciences, computer science, economics, management, mechanical engineering, and psychology.

The first day of the workshop, 15 September, was devoted to presentations from researchers and is in hybrid mode with both presenters and audience participating either online or in-person.

The second day, 16 September, was devoted to discussions that are open to all participants including non-presenters.

We welcomed participants from different scientific fields, corporations, and public institutions to take part in the discussion day particularly, but also the first day of presentations in the audience.

Please go to the program of the workshop to see the recordings of the presentations.
