Epson Universal Print Driver

Epson Universal Print produces a universal printer chauffeur that can be used on any device or system. This chauffeur interacts with the printer and ensures the print job is formatted correctly and published.

I am currently using an Epson printer (XP-970) with my older (Intel) MacBook Pro, and am considering upgrading to the new 16-inch M1 MBP when it is released in the next month or so. When I checked the compatibility of the Epson print drivers and utilities in the "Get Info" screen, they all indicate they are "Intel" apps, rather than "Universal", and therefore not designed to run on Macs with the M1 chip.

To use any computer device, software (driver) is required. It is recommended to use the original software included with the device. If you don't have the software and can't find it on the device manufacturer's website, we can help. Tell us the model of your printer, scanner, monitor or other computer device, as well as the operating system version (for example: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, etc.).
