Discussion leader
Focuses on the study topic or Bible passage.
Prepares and leads discussion using published or provided study guides, lesson plans.
Teacher
Focuses on the study topic or Bible passage.
Prepares, teaches and leads discussion, usually from various resources and their own study guides, lesson plans.
Trainer
Focuses on practical aspects of ministry.
Prepares and trains from their own education, experience and relevant materials.
Mentor
A combination of teacher and trainer.
Preacher
Same as a teacher but rarely, if ever, interacts with the group.
