Facility Seismic - Accessibility Upgrades and Classroom Remodel
Projected Start Date: Summer 2021
Project Description
The project will include complete building upgrades of our existing facilities and includes the following items:
Seismic upgrades required by the Tier 1 and 2 Seismic Evaluations conducted in 2015 for the City of San Francisco.
Construction of a circulation “knuckle” that will house a new central stair and elevator. This will provide necessary accessibility upgrades to all buildings as none of our buildings are handicap accessible.
Lower School and Middle School Classroom renovations to create 21st century learning environments, including new materials and finishes, lighting and furniture.
New Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Green Mechanical system throughout which will provide better environmental conditions within all building spaces and will result in reduced cost and energy use.
Development of a new state of the art Science Innovation Center
Development of a new Black Box Theater for flexible drama and dance performances.
New accessible restrooms throughout.
New kitchen facilities so that we can offer a daily hot lunch to our students and faculty.
Construction of a new outdoor Sports Court so that children will have a safe outdoor space to play on campus. (Currently, the school closes off Green Street between Steiner and Pierce and children play in the street for recess).
