About me:

I am currently a B.C. resident and a student at UBC in the MET program. I am also an elementary school teacher with a passion for the environment and for designing new education technology for my students. As an educator, I am always striving to engage my students in purposeful learning with the goal of helping them become capable lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens. With the creation of this resource, I hope to encourage positive change in the B.C. school curriculum and society in general as we work collaboratively toward creating more inclusive and culturally sustaining classrooms and societies.

A little about me:

I am a student currently in UBC's MET program, and I am a B.C. resident. I love the province and country that I live in, but I recognize that there are systemic issues involving the environment, race, and the connection between the two in the place that I live. This resource is meant to be a place to reconcile these things, and to help both myself and others work through these topics in a constructive manner that hopefully leads to real change in our communities. I love the outdoors, nature, and people, and as such this is a project that I feel a genuine connection to.
