'Entering the Easter Story' is a participatory assembly where every child plays a part in telling the story.
The service leader visits the school in advance of the assembly, tasking each class/year group with a 'secret mission' to do during the assembly.
Classes will practice their section, adding any creative elements they want, coming prepared to the assembly.
The service leader tells the story of Easter in the assembly, with each class participating at their relevant time, whilst awaiting what the other classes will do at any given moment.
This suspenseful way of unpacking the Easter narrative ensures every student has an opportunity to perform, no matter their age or stage. This interactivity immerses children into the story, producing an assembly that is fun, exciting and given great moments to reflect on the significance of the story.
Are you ready to enter the Easter story?!
