 難病の患者さんに本当の価値 / true value を届けることをミッションに掲げ2022年11月にスタートしました。主務は、難病患者さんの治療・幸せにつながる研究開発、医療関連の情報提供、コンサルテーション等です。

これまでにお世話になった患者さんとご家族のみなさん、ご指導いただいた先生方、一緒に研究や仕事をさせてもらった仲間への恩返しとして、患者さんに本当の価値（true value）を届けるためのインフラです。自分を含めて周りのみんなが幸せになるための研究を続けます。

Strengths and Strategic Focus

Bridging Rare Diseases, Regenerative Medicine, and Gene Therapy

En’s Lab serves as a hub connecting industry, clinical practice, and academic research in the fields of rare diseases, regenerative medicine, and gene therapy.

We provide practical consulting support for:

• Research exit strategies and translational planning

• Initiation and coordination of collaborative research and clinical studies

• Clinical development utilizing IRUD and genomic data

Our work is grounded in extensive experience supporting national rare disease research programs, including AMED-funded initiatives, allowing us to adapt flexibly to the needs of each project.

Core Research Areas

En’s Lab addresses the full spectrum from basic science to clinical application and societal implementation in the following areas:

• Therapeutic development for dysferlinopathy

• Mechanistic studies of SMON (Subacute Myelo-Optico-Neuropathy)

• Psychosocial approaches for patients with myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1)

Beyond curative treatment development, we place strong emphasis on quality of life, supporting patients, caregivers, and families from psychological and social perspectives.

Collaborative Research Initiatives

We actively collaborate with external researchers and organizations in areas such as:

• Balneotherapy (therapeutic bathing)

• Physical therapy

• Oral and dental care

These collaborations aim to integrate medical evidence with daily-life–oriented care and supportive interventions.

Living Environment and Life Support for Patients with Rare Diseases

Drawing on hands-on experience in medical and supportive care for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities, En’s Lab provides a comprehensive approach to housing and daily-life challenges faced by patients with rare diseases.

難病患者の住居・生活支援（社会実装への取り組み）

難病患者の住まいや生活インフラに関する課題に対し、
心身障がい児（者）施設における医療・支援経験を活かし、
医療・介護・住環境を含めた包括的なアプローチを提供します。
