Genesis 3:8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the RUACH, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
Gen. 3:1………….. “Did God really say, ‘You are not to eat from any tree in the garden’?”
COMMENTARY: Did you catch that? The original word is "Ruach" not "cool of the day". Yah, Adam, and Eve walked in the Spirit together. When Adam and Eve chose to walk in the flesh (obey fleshly temptations instead of Yah), then they could see their fleshly nakedness. Our original purpose is to "Walk in the Spirit with Yah"
Genesis 5:22 Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with YAHWEH after the birth of Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him]. (ampc version)
Enoch 1:2….. -Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens…….
COMMENTARY: Our goal is to "walk" with Yah in the Spirit, in habitual fellowship. Sin / unrighteousness is what separates us and puts us back in the flesh.
Genesis 6: This is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a just and righteous man, blameless in his [evil] generation; Noah walked [in habitual fellowship] with God. (ampc version)
14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. 15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be …….
COMMENTARY: Same as Adam, and Enoch, walking righteously in the Spirit with Yah will get you jobs to do in the flesh on the earth.
Genesis 17: 17 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty God; walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete).
2 And I will make My covenant (solemn pledge) between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly.
Matthew 5:48 You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Deuteronomy 18: 13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.
COMMENTARY: Are you noticing a trend yet with the great men of the Bible that Yah used?
Exodus 33: 11 Adonai would speak to Moshe face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Then he would return to the camp; but the young man who was his assistant, Y’hoshua the son of Nun, never left the inside of the tent. 12 Moshe said to Adonai, “Look, you say to me, ‘Make these people move on!’ But you haven’t let me know whom you will be sending with me. Nevertheless you have said, ‘I know you by name,’ and also, ‘You have found favor in my sight.’ 13 Now, please, if it is really the case that I have found favor in your sight, show me your ways; so that I will understand you and continue finding favor in your sight. Moreover, keep on seeing this nation as your people.” 14 He answered, “Set your mind at rest — my presence will go with you, after all.” 15 Moshe replied, “If your presence doesn’t go with us, don’t make us go on from here. 16 For how else is it to be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people, other than by your going with us? That is what distinguishes us, me and your people, from all the other peoples on earth.”
Exodus 4: 10 But Moses said to YHWH, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.” 11 Then YHWH said to him, “Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, YHWH? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.” 13 But he said, “Oh, my Lord, please send someone else.” 14 Then the anger of YHWH was kindled against Moses and he said,......
COMMENTARY: Moses was so humble, he didn't dare do anything without Yah walking with him. Notice how ticked Yah gets when He walks with us and He gives us instructions, if we doubt and don't obey with faith.
1 Kings 3: 6 And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. …………. 14 So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” 15 Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream.
1 Kings 9: 4 “As for you, if you (Solomon) walk before me faithfully with integrity of heart and uprightness, as David your father did, and do all I command and observe my decrees and laws, 5 I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’
COMMENTARY: Still Yah's same desire for His creation thousands of years after Adam. "Walk with Him"
Jeremiah 1: 4 Now the word of YHWH came to me, saying, 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” 6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord Elohim! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” 7 But YHWH said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;
for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,
and whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 Do not be afraid of them,
for I am with you to deliver you,
declares YHWH.” 9 Then YHWH put out his hand and touched my mouth. And YHWH said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
10 See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms,
to pluck up and to break down,
to destroy and to overthrow,
to build and to plant.” 11 And the word of YHWH came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see an almond branch.” 12 Then YHWH said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.” 13 The word of YHWH came to me a second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling pot, facing away from the north.”
Jeremiah 42:7 And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah
COMMENTARY: Notice when Yah started to talk / walk with Jeremiah, it was a 2 way conversation. Many years later, when Jeremiah was full of experience walking with Yah, it took Jeremiah 10 days to get an answer from Yah. As you grow, don't mistake Yah's quietness for not walking with Him. He expects more from you, more time, more seeking.
Acts 16: 6 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. 7 When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. 8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. 9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
COMMENTARY: If you don't hear Yah saying "Go", then just start "walking" with Him and listen for HIm to say "Isaiah 30: 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Start moving, then you can hear Yah saying, stop, turn, go another way.
Acts 5: 29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey Elohim rather than men. Acts 22: 14 And he said, ‘The Elohim of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Righteous One and to hear a voice from his mouth;
COMMENTARY: Summary of "Walking with Yah" .....Are you following man's ways and traditions? or are you following Yah's direction. If you can't discern His voice, quiet the world down and seek Him more.
Yeshua: Luke 22:42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
COMMENTARY: Yeshua didn't want to die, He wanted another way, but chose to do it Yah's way. He chose to walk with Yah.
What is your first step? What is your next step on your walk with Yah?
