The Holy Spirit has spoken to you in the past, you just haven't learned how to discern it yet. 

What is 2+2?  Did you THINK about the answer? Do math in your head?  Do you have "Peace and Confidence" that the right answer is 4? You will have the same peace and confidence when a thought from Yah enters your brain. 

2+2=5  How does this look to you?  You just "KNOW" that it is wrong.  Almost like your conscience.  That is also how Yah can be discerned.

When you pray to YHWH, the 1st answer is HIM, the second answer is your own brain thinking. The 3rd answer is the Devil.

If you opened up an electrical panel, it doesn't make any sounds, no one tells you, but you are 100% confident that you would be severely hurt if you touched the big exposed wires.  The Holy Spirit is that kind of confidence.  However, if you start to overthink it, you might say "Well, maybe if the power is turned off at the meter, so I'll be ok"...Then if you continue to overthink even more, the devil will have influence, saying "just touch it, what's the worst that could happen? You'll be fine". 

Just DO the first answer that pops in your head. (after praying "Father, I'm doing this because I believe this is your voice")

If you are praying about jobs, cars, houses, health.....these are all "Things".   Seek 1st His Kingdom and Righteousness then all these "Things" will be added unto you.  Don't ask for "Things".  "Things" is Yah's job, let Him do His job.

Let Yah clean you up first.  Seek obedience to Him, those prayers will get answered much faster. (see the 8 questions page).

His voice will typically sound like your own voice in your head.  That's why you need to "Discern" the difference.

His voice is very subtle, very rarely if ever will you hear an audible voice. (I haven't yet).

Start walking with Him, let Him guide your steps while you are moving.  (Hard to correct your path  if you aren't moving)

Ask for a Bible chapter or verse. When He gives it to you, ask Him to highlight, or point out what He is saying to you.

Ask for a dream. When you get one, write it down and date it. Then ask Him for the interpretation.  (My dog has dreams) Getting the interpretation from Yah is what really matters. 

Ask for a vision. (same as above)

Be prepared for spankings (read all of Deuteronomy 28)

This process is meant to clean you up so you can encounter the King. If you treat Him like a magic genie to give you "things", then this is the wrong site for you.
