Unelmahäät
Our wedding will be featured in the Finnish TV-programme “Unelmahäät” (Eng: dream weddings). The programme will focus mainly on Mårten and Michaela but there may be sequences of the wedding guests, mainly during speeches, music, dances and similar situations. In our RSVP-form you will be able to indicate if you would like to be filmed as little as possible - Mårten and Michaela cannot promise that you won’t be seen at all in the show. We will, however, provide you with seating where filming will be kept to an absolute minimum. If you have questions, please read the “TV” part of this website and contact us for more information.
We met through the power of music - student orchestra music. In March 2016 there were two studentorchestra-events going on at the same time: Inter Nordisk Kongress (INK) and Ql Och Roligt på Kåren (QORK). After Michaela had performed the first and only concert with the orchestra “Skulderligan” there was an opportunity to listen to music in the tiger-bus (sometimes known as the PQ-bus). Mårten, who was at his first studentorchestra-event wearing his new uniform, had found his way to the bus to relax in the built-in sofas in the back. Nursing a fever he witnessed two Finnish orchestra-people listening non-stop to Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” and switching between Swedish and Finnish at such a speed that the conversation turned somewhat nonsensical. Michaela was one of them and has no memories of the encounter.
In May of the same year our paths met again, when Michaela decided to go on a weekend trip to Linköping to party with the orchestra “LiTHe Blås”. It was in the middle of exam-season which meant that out of around 50 people in the orchestra only 4 came to the party - Mårten was one of them. A few beers/ciders and a walk to McDonald’s later there were sparks flying and we lived happily ever after.
