Dr. Lisiane Pruinelli, PhD, MS, RN, FAMIA is an Associate Professor with Tenure at the University of Florida’s College of Nursing, specializing in nursing informatics, data science, and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare. With a distinguished career that spans over two decades, she brings her expertise in acute care, specifically transplant coordination and information systems implementation, to her academic trajectory.
Dr. Pruinelli's current work focuses on leveraging big data and predictive analytics to improve patient outcomes, particularly in the context of complex conditions such as liver transplantation. She has developed and led numerous research initiatives and educational programs, and her contributions to the field have been widely recognized. Dr. Pruinelli is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association, reflecting her leadership and influence in nursing informatics on both national and international stages.
Graduate Research Assistant
Janet is a Graduate Research Assistant and PhD student in the College of Nursing at the University of Florida. She brings 15 years of experience as a NICU nurse to her academic pursuits. Her research focuses on the intersection of data science and neonatal care, with a particular emphasis on applying predictive analytics to improve outcomes for this vulnerable population. Her interests also include leveraging advanced technologies to enhance neonatal care delivery and developing inclusive data-driven practices to address health disparities in newborn care. Janet holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida International University.
