Dr. Lisiane Pruinelli, PhD, MSc, RN, FAMIA, FAAN is an Associate Professor with Tenure at the University of Florida’s College of Nursing, specializing in nursing informatics, data science, and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare. With a distinguished career that spans over two decades, she brings her expertise in acute care, specifically transplant coordination and information systems implementation, to her academic trajectory.
Dr. Pruinelli's current work focuses on leveraging big data and predictive analytics to improve patient outcomes, particularly in the context of complex conditions such as liver transplantation. She has developed and led numerous research initiatives and educational programs, and her contributions to the field have been widely recognized. Dr. Pruinelli is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association, reflecting her leadership and influence in nursing informatics on both national and international stages.
PhD Candidate, BSN, RN
Janet Northcote, BSN, RN, is a PhD candidate at the University of Florida College of Nursing with over 15 years of experience in neonatal intensive care. Her research focuses on the use of EHR big data and artificial intelligence to better understand and improve neonatal outcomes across the life course. Drawing on her clinical experience, she is particularly interested in the intersection of nursing science, data science, and environmental health to translate data into clinically meaningful, data-driven insights that support patients, families, and the nursing workforce.
