At the end of the lesson, you are expected to:

1. identify initial sounds (vowels, consonants and semi-vowels);

2. isolate sounds (consonants and vowels) in a word (beginning and/or ending);

3. substitute individuals sounds in simple words to make new words; and,

4. sound out words accurately.

Worksheets will be given to the students after the discussion.
