This website is intended to provide teachers and educators learning resources to incorporate the holistic education and technology for English Language Learners (ELLs). By using the holistic approach in language teaching, language learners can experience the world around them while making connections to their community, environment, and other learners. In today's information age, learners come to the classroom with digital literacy and schools should nurture and view learning with technology with creative and innovative ways. Teachers must provide opportunities for students to create relevant projects so they can creatively apply their out-of-school identities as well. Multimodal texts are more prevalent than ever in this digital age and can be used in the classroom for students to freely express themselves cognitively.
Technology can be used to support language learners by meeting the unique needs for language acquisition. For example, some language tools and applications have built -in features that can support differentiated instruction for variety of learners from beginner to advanced-levels in reading, writing, listening, or speaking. By exploring this website, it can provide innovative and creative ideas for educators to incorporate learning activities in their classrooms.
