- Below you will find a collection of my favorite TED Talks with transcripts for those of you who wish to give something to students that they can markup and highlight. The 18 minute format that all Ted talks follow makes them highly manageable for classroom use.
- For a synopsis of each talk, open the accompanying Google doc and read the purple italicized header.
- Click any of the logos below to be taken straight to the TED, TEDEd, or TEDx websites.
- TED is the original TED and has a Global focus
- TEDx events are independently organized and tend to have a local focus, but can cover topics that have universal appeal
- TED Ed is a newer project that relies upon a volunteer workforce to turn TED Talks into lessons for educators to use in class. You can also "flip" Youtube videos and turn them into lessons as well. Ted Ed also includes a customizable platform that allows you to create tests and quizzes, and also allows you to measure class participation.
