Do you think a vaccine will solve the problems of COVID-19? In this podcast I analyze an article written by Aaron E. Carroll called "Stop Expecting Life to Go Back to Normal Next Year" that I found in New York Times. In this article, Carroll inform readers to not put all of their hope into an unknown vaccine. Many Americans are misinformed, and think a vaccine will make things go back to normal, however they are sadly mistaken. Another problem is Americans expecting a vaccine to eliminate pandemic precautions, such as wearing a face mask. COVID- 19 is something we should get used to, rather than rushing to get rid of. Although, many Americans are ready for sport seasons, vacations, parties, and gatherings, we have to stop overestimating what a vaccine may do, and continue practicing safe precautions. I choose to analyze this article, because I feel as if this topic is important. If we want to be successful in fighting COVID-19 we have to be educated and knowledgeable to the proper way to go about certain things.
