Gender inequality is one of the most polarizing aspects of society today. It can be found in many sectors of the world. This includes school, home, and in public situations. One area of society in which the plague of gender inequality has yet to retreat is the workplace. Work-based gender inequality has been a societal obstacle for centuries and the wage gap is an especially good example of such. Today we will discuss and interpret the reasoning and factual data surrounding the topic as well as analyzing the words of many victims and specialists who have credible statements about the topic. We will gain an understanding of not only the trend of how the wage gap has evolved over the past decades, but also delve into the possible future of where the gender wage gap may come to a rest. The studies we will be looking into will be a compilation of various articles, books, and experiments which have proven factual for the specific domain of the gender wage gap and its effects.
