Course Description

Project 1

In this project, I had to analyze my own rhetoric and understand what that means. I had to write about my appearance and how people view me as a person. When writing, I had to keep in mind how I came off as an individual. I inserted pictures to help give a visual of how I live and my appearance. This project helped me and others dig deeper and really think about how others view you as a person, but also how you view yourself as well.

Project 2

In this project, I had to analyze a text and create my own podcast. In my podcast, I had to talk about the information I gathered from the article that I read. also to go along with the project, I wrote a script so that the audience could read that as well while listening to the podcast, I also cited my evidence to the article that I received my information from.

Project 3

Project three was the project I enjoyed the most. For this project, my group and I did a service-learning project and went to the well. we made an informational video that showed off the well. the video included people that go to the well and their experiences while at the well. This project was such an incredible opportunity that allowed me and my group to be able to meet amazing people and hear their stories, while also being able to learn about the well and all of the great things that it has to offer.

Project 4

Project four goes along with project three. FOr this project, my group and I had to create an informational symposium poster that went along with the well. On our poster, we included information that described the well and our project. we also included pictures to go along with our poster. Our poster needed to look clean, but also be very informational. I think as a group, we achieved that.

Project 5

For this project, as a class, we had to read an article from "Two ways a woman can get hurt advertising and violence" by Jean Kilbourne, we also watched the movie called "Killing us softly" as well. In this project, I had to find my own commercial and or music video to analyze and dig deeper in. I also had to include evidence from Kilbourne's article to relate to. I had to break down the music video and explain the meanings behind it. I also had to cite the evidence that I used throughout the project as well.
