MY Projects
Each one of these projects helped me complete all of my expected course outcomes. Both projects one and two focused on rhetoric. While projects three and four were service-learning projects and that consisted of my group and I creating a video and a symposium poster that went along with it. while project five was about societal norms and sexists/sexual messages in the media.
The Course overall
Overall I enjoyed dr. mcginnis's English 1101 class. this course has impacted me by changing how I view the world around me. After learning about rhetorical thinking, I learned things about myself and things around me that I didn't quite see before taking this class. Also throughout this course, I have gained skills such as learning how to analyze text and make my writing better as a student and a person. Being able to work on the multiple projects assigned and be able to create a website to showcase them as well has also been so enjoyable. Over the course of the semester, I and my classmates have analyzed different pieces of texts from different authors, looked at web texts/essays, podcasts, and more. we also learned how to cite our sources correctly when analyzing pieces of writing. I can carry all of the skills that I have gathered from this class with me to the workplace, school, and just in my daily life as well. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be able to take this course and learn new things. I'm excited to be able to take everything I have learned with me and use it in the future.
