Hello my name is Shelby Yawn. In the following podcast I will be talking about women inequality in the workplace and the effects it has on women. My group chose women inequality in the community for our umbrella topic. So in my podcast I chose to talk about the inequality in the workplace for women. Women inequality still plays a huge part in society today and has been around for many years. Through my research I have learned a lot about women inequality and the impact it has on women’s lives. After doing research and reading about the issue I have learned that discrimination affects women's mental health and well being. Most of the information I will be discussing comes from scholarly sources and I also talk about Iris Young’s "Five Faces of Oppression" and compare it to women feeling powerless in their situations. I also use several other articles that talk and compare women inequality versus equality. I hope this podcast informs you and makes you aware of the situation. I feel like this topic should be talked about more often. So please give my podcast a listen and share it with others.
