The MCHS Beta Club recently participated in the Kentucky State Beta Convention. Seven students traveled to Lexington to compete and 3 others participated in competitions before the in-person portion. The club brought home four placements, qualifying them to compete at nationals in Orlando, Florida in June. Our singing trio also all received Golden Tickets inviting them to participate as premier performers at the opening ceremony at nationals.

A group of Betas volunteered to hand out candy to all the elementary school students in Monroe County on Halloween. The ladies dressed as the characters from The Wizard of Oz and decorated a vehicle as the road to the city of Oz; their design complete with a rainbow and yellow brick road. Prior to the event, the Betas collected nearly 2,000 pieces of candy in order to treat all the children. Great job Betas!
