Hello again!

This week we are talking about Past Simple. We will practice and prepare for our first writing assignement.

LESSON 1

  1. Start here. Sound on!

  2. Then go here - you will need your @skole.hr account.

  3. Send in your homework later today, or tomorrow.

  4. Bye!

EARTH DAY is coming up!

Since we are learning about the USA this year, here you can do activities about American national parks. There are three to choose from. From first to the last the tasks are more difficult. This means that the first one is the easiest and the last in the most difficult. Take your pick.

THIS IS OPTIONAL AND COUNTS AS EXTRA CREDIT.

lesson 3

Hello again! Happy Friday!

If you haven't already I think you should - revise your Past Simple. We are doing a test on Monday. It will have two parts. Part 1: complete the text using Simple Past. One correct verb - one point. And part 2: rewrite the ending or write the ending using Simple Past.

Grading criteria: 1 paragraph / 5 sentences. Max. 2 points for:

  • correct grammar,

  • correct spelling,

  • correct sentence structure,

  • giving details,

  • using connectors (such as: first, then, on the other hand, although, since - then, lastly, but, all of a sudden, ...),

  • the text is logical and easy to follow,

  • the message of the text is easy to understand,

  • creativity. Feel free to add if you think there should be more.

Now, on to today's lesson.

  1. Watch Simon's cat video below, and do the tasks. When the video stops fill in the sentence, and then move on.

  2. After watching open your notebook.

  3. Put the title Simon's Cat Box Clever and rewrite the ending using Simple Past tense in your notebook. I need you to write your own, original, 5 sentences. (Follow the grading criteria for the test.)

  4. After that grade your own work based on the criteria for the test.

  5. Send your text and grading to me. Thank you! Good luck!
