200 word audience grabber:
Waking up the Monday after the Super Bowl could be a long day at work. In this podcast, I will talk about an article written by Alyssa Rosenberg called “Move the Super Bowl to Saturday, already. And the Oscars. And most of HBO” found in The Washington Post. In the article, Rosenberg explains using diction, statistics, and quotes to support the claim she is presenting. High school junior Frankie Ruggeri made a fan petition on how the NFL and other mainstream TV networks should move to Saturday night broadcasting instead of Sunday. Rosenberg includes a quote from The American Community Survey, “...10.7 million people would skip a Monday workday after the Game of Thrones aired.” In the article, Rosenberg is biased towards Sunday broadcasting. The NFL moved their games to Sunday in 1987, but on the other hand the Oscars have always been broadcasting on Sundays. Want to know more? Spend a little time and listen to my podcast to know more about why Rosenberg believes what she believes.
