To share ideas one can, use oral or written language and symbols. In such cases without there is always ambiguity whether the idea is connived to person. Whereas a graphical language cab be a powerful means of communication to share technical ideas. It ensures the same idea is shared to every trained eye.
Irrespective of language barriers, the drawings can be effectively used in any country. Thus, the engineering drawing is the universal language of all engineers. In the course "Engineering Graphics" one will learn how to draw technical drawing or engineering drawing, use international and national standards to draw and interpret the technical drawings.
The original drawing should always be made on the smallest sheet possible, permitting the necessary clarity and resolution. For the EG course A3 paper is used. The following table shows the sizes of papers as per ISO-A Series - preferred sizes of the trimmed sheets.
Standard lines have been developed so that every drawing conveys the same meaning to everyone. In order to convey that meaning, the lines used in technical drawings have both a definite pattern and a definite thickness. For example, a dark continuous line is used to show the edges (or “outline”) of an object and to make it stand out for easy reading.
2H, H and HB pencils are used in this course.
