Describe the plan your group used to build the project.

The first step we took was to distribute tasks amongst the group members. Then we all started working, when distributing the tasks we tried to give every member a task they hadn't done before.

How did you incorporate the Design strategies from the textbook (Ch 21-26)?

We used the design strategies to build the rocket and also code the Arduino.

Describe the process your group used to accomplish the task.

Every group member successfully completed their assigned tasks therefore everything went according to plan and we were able to finish everything on time. Ziya did the rocket simulation and Donovan and Teymour started building the rocket and the plane while Ryan was working on the website and Iq mole.

Describe how the principles you used to build the project and apply to the engineering fields you studied

Building the rocket in the most efficient way was directly connected with aerospace engineering and industrial engineering. Choosing the best engine for the rocket was connected with mechanical engineering. And the Co2 measuring device was about chemical engineering.

Each member’s role in the project.

Ziya did the rocket simulation, worked on the website, and worked on the Arduino . Ryan worked on the website, did the IQ mol, and also helped with the Arduino. Tavion did the research paper, worked on Tinkercad , and helped build the rocket. Teymour helped make the tinkercad and built the plane and the rocket. Donovan helped build the plane and the rocket.

Describe the successes and the obstacles your team encountered and how your team overcame the obstacles.

This week we encountered both successes and failures. One of the things we had a hard time on was using the IQ mol simulation and partly for coding the Arduino. The successes we had was actually building the rocket, tinkercad, and also making the rocket simulation project.

What would your next steps be to improve your project?

To improve the status of our project, we need to work more cohesively as a team. And could work more efficiently but overall every task we had to complete was finished in time so the project was successful overall.

Describe the lessons that you learned and how you will apply these lessons to future projects.

One of the things we learned in this project was figuring stuff on our own. Self-learning and problem-solving are a big part of engineering and therefore we had to learn how to use rocket simulators and IQ mol on our own which can come in handy if we decide to pursue engineering.

Another thing we learned is general insight about aerospace, mechanical, chemical, and industrial engineering which could guide us through selecting our major and shape our future careers, and also help with future projects we are going to complete.

Knowing what you know now, how would you start your project differently?

Knowing what we know now we would start the project more focused and collective. We would try to complete the little tasks we have to do in order to free up time for more important aspects of the project like building our plane and rocket.
