The capital of Malta is Valletta.

Malta is located in the Mediterranean Sea.

The panel of the state flag consists of two parts: white-at the shaft and red-in the free part. On the white part in the upper corner of the flagpole, the silver badge of the British George Cross, the highest award for bravery for civilians awarded to the island in 1943 for the bravery of the Maltese population during the Second world war is depicted bordered with a red border. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is 2:3.

The state languages of Malta are Maltese and English.

The customs and traditions of Malta are still carefully observed and passed down from generation to generation, especially in the province. The main cultural event in Malta is still the day of Saints Peter and Paul celebrated in Buskett Park. Traditionally, Maltese also observe religious rites – baptism, communion, anointing, prayers, and attending Church services. A big event in Malta is considered to be a wedding consisting of a Church ceremony and a secular holiday.

Malta is one of the smallest countries in the world (185th out of 194). At the same time, Malta ranks fifth in the world in terms of population density (1432 people/km2). There is a hypothesis that the Islands of the Maltese archipelago are the remains of Atlantis. There are no natural sources of fresh water, natural lakes, or rivers in Malta. Most buildings in Malta are built of sandstone, which gives them a distinctive yellow color and blends in with the natural landscape. Malta ranks 1st in the world in terms of the number of historical monuments per square kilometer. Among them are megalithic temple complexes, which are the oldest man-made structures on the planet (3500 years BC).
