Mother's Tongue, Daughter's Prayer is a graphic memoir that I wrote reflecting upon the relationship that I have with my mother tongue, my mother, and her father.
Given that I retained very little Vietnamese as a child, I grew up somewhat isolated from my family, and my introverted nature isolated me from my peers. Thus, I must think about it.
Sore Waters is a graphic memoir that I wrote reflecting upon the relationship that I have with my family, and the relationship my heritage has with water. This memoir later won the Long River Review Award, an annual publication at the University of Connecticut.
