A one-line description of the project
Portable spas are highly popular due to their versatility, affordability, and portability. The interior design is such that they are incredibly comfortable to sit in. Also, the price is within the range of any family or individual seeking a warm & relaxing spa and a hydrotherapy massage. With this diverse range of features, portable spas are even more desirable than permanent spas.
Are you thinking about getting a portable spa? Before you buy one, here are the five factors to consider.
#1 The Wiring
Portable spas run on either 220 volts or 110 volts of electricity. First, you have to decide which one you want. 110-volt modes are easy to hook up and can be plugged into the standard household outlet. On the other hand, 220V portable spas will need a licensed electrician, but they will heat you faster. Also, they have larger pumps.
#2 The Insulation
While using a spa in pool, you would want to ensure that the water temperature can be easily maintained. Make sure that the manufacturer uses closed-cell foam insulation to prevent heat loss from the spa shell. Also, it should be able to hold the water temperature within a controlled setting.
#3 The Components
Consider the number of jets and also the placement. When the jets don't have a therapeutic valve, the number of jets will not matter. Many manufacturers think that putting a lot of valves will make the portable spa much more effective. However, things are quite the opposite. You would want pressure in those areas where pressure is needed and not waste it in those that don't. The filtration equipment and the control panel should be easy to reach. You shouldn't have to climb under the cabinet of the spa in pool every time to turn on the heater or clean the filter.
#4 The Size
The bigger the spa, the higher will be the room. If you're outgoing, it's better to get a portable spa that can accommodate your family along with other neighbours and family members as well. If you want a spa in pool for you and your spouse, getting the one with 2-3 seats will be enough.
#5 The Cabinetry
Spa cabinets have been there for quite some time. Be careful of any spa built with outdoor cabinetry that's not synthetic. Water & wood will never mix, and getting a soggy warped cabinet will be the first thing to deteriorate in a spa. Also, the framing within the portable spa should be a pressure-treated material.
Some Additional Tips
The mobile spas are placed above the ground, and you can set them up inside the home or outside. As long as you are placing it on a flat surface, you can use it on a floor, deck, or even a concrete area. The ergonomics are essential as well. Check the contour of the interior to make sure of your comfort.
