The third edition of the "Encontro de Coleoptera" (Coleoptera Meeting) took place from June 30th to July 04th, 2025.

The III edition of the Coleoptera Meeting has a new logo! 

For this edition, we have chosen Eucharitolus thomazi Monné et al., 2024 (Cerambycidae), one of the species described in the last publication of Professor Dr. Miguel Monné (in memoriam). 

With this, we want to pay tribute to Professor Monné, one of the greatest specialists in Coleoptera (Cerambycidae) of the Neotropical region, who, unfortunately, passed away this year. He was a researcher and curator of the entomological collection of the National Museum of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Born in Uruguay, he established himself as one of the great names in Brazilian entomology, where he worked most of his life. His legacy includes innumerable published articles, hundreds of described species, and many trained students. 

The second edition of the "Encontro de Coleoptera" (Coleoptera Meeting) took place from July 24th to 28th, 2023.

The official logo of this edition featured the diving beetle Megadytes lherminieri (Guérin-Méneville, 1829) (Dytiscidae), taken from the book “Besouros e seu mundo” by Celso Godinho.

The first edition of the "Encontro de Coleoptera" (Coleoptera Meeting) took place online from March 15th to 19th, 2021.
