Overall, I would say that my writing has gradually improved with every assignment that I've been giving in college and the experience is what really drives my growth. Being able to reflect and analyze my writing like this has allowed me to more clearly identify my weaknesses because I think about those less than my strengths. I've always known what comes easy to me but identifying the challenges required more thinking on my part. In terms of my process putting together this essay, the practice of analyzing works and identifying blockers has allowed me to trace back my thinking to find the root causes of these problems. In turn, it also allows me to predict future blocks and after reading Mike Rose's piece on how to combat writers block, I can actively try and use heuristic thinking to prevent or lessen such challenges. Therefore, I would say that this assignment was very productive to my writing journey!
