The following intro/cover slides for Elayne's public programs are shown below in alphabetical order and include brief descriptions underneath. Other than programs shown to organizations Elayne belongs to, her public programs have been mostly to assisted living facilities in the local Woburn MA area. See list of clients and dates in a separate section.
The Fourth of July program is a series of fireworks with sound effects and is meant as a filler to another program.
This beautiful estate is the Crane Estate in Ipswich MA. There are numerous shots of the exterior of the main building (front and rear with statues) as well as guest houses, maintenance buildings (formerly used for horses), gardens, and the massive rolling lawn to the beach. There are also photos of the first floor rooms and objects.
This Potpourri slide program contains photos of Hyannis, Sandwich (including many of the Glass Museum), Mashpee, Falmouth Center, Woods Hole, and the Nobska Lighthouse in Falmouth.
The animals and birds in this show are primarily from zoos (Stone Zoo in Stoneham MA, Franklin Park Zoo in Boston and the Roger Williams Zoo in Providence RI), but also includes animals and birds in other locations and settings. The insects are on various flowers that Elayne has photographed.
This photographic program is meant for photography and art enthusiasts so they can see what can be done with an original photograph and Adobe's Photoshop Elements. It takes a photograph into the artistic arena by using various filters.
Mount Auburn Cemetery is a national historic place of rolling hills on 175 acres. Besides being the burial ground for famous people, it has some of the most beautiful gravestones with sculptured monuments, three large bodies of water, two chapels, a female sphinx, lots of obelisks, and a Washington Tower with the best view of the Boston skyline. Its tagged trees are from all over the world and bird watchers come daily to try to photograph rare birds. Part I showcases the beauty and history while Part II is transitioned to music showing and describing gravestone symbols.
Everyone likes a farm with lots of activities. Connors Farm in Danvers MA is especially active in the fall when the apples are ripe for the farm stand and on ice creme and there are corn mazes. They have rides, food vendors, swings, animals, and all kinds of events including pig racing. Kimball Farm in Westford MA started as an ice creme place but added lots of paid fun activities including animal adventures, pony rides, a driving range, batting cage, zip line, water bumper cars, functions, etc. Both are family fun farms for a great day out in nature.
This particular gratitude program is meant for seniors in assisted living centers to trigger their long-term memories of such topics as pets, jobs, bosses, friends, etc. and to share these memories/stories with others in the audience. Elayne introduces each topic by providing examples in her own life.
This travel program includes Europe, Egypt, and parts of the United States other than New England, which is a separate program. There is also a photo of Bermuda and Canada.
Loving New England Part I includes numerous places of interest in mostly MA and NH but also a couple in VT and ME.
Loving New England Part II is of King Richard's Faire in Carver MA and the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods NH and is transitioned to several musical selections.
Elayne introduces each season or a particular photograph with a poem she has written. It has been shown to members of the Massachusetts State Poetry Society as well as local residents at the Beebee Public Library in Wakefield and was very well received with lots of positive comments.
The photographic program includes a handout of photographic tips Elayne learned from camera club competitions. It has been shown to members of the Woburn Guild of Artists.
Elayne loves photographing colorful events so Canobie Lake in Salem NH was an ideal location. This program includes a few video clips of interesting rides. The "Amazing Acrobats of China" was taken in the Canobie Lake theater and is a filler program if needed. Seniors are color-starved during the winter months in New England and being shut in.
Elayn'e first photographic PowerPoint program is this well-loved flower program with two parts. Part I is about how we use flowers in our lives and includes groups of particular flowers such as daisies and roses. Part II is transitioned to four musical selections and showcases a variety of flowers in alphabetical order.
The two castles are the fascinating Hammond Castle in Gloucester MA that is the home of the Hammond organ and the Castle in The Clouds in Moultonborough NH that sits atop a lot of acreage with some beautiful gardens and views of Lake Winnipesaukee.
This hot air balloon program includes some photos from a "no go" late afternoon ride due to an approaching storm and an early morning "go" ride that was spectacular. Photos show the entire hot air balloon process from laying out the equipment and blowing it up to landing and the champagne toast. There were three balloons on the journey so there are many photographs of two of them in the early morning mist as the sun is rising and clearing it.
