Bangkok, Thailand – The EMZI-UiTM Nano Core Lab team, a collaboration between EMZI Group and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Pulau Pinang, has achieved remarkable success at the Thailand Inventors’ Day & Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEx) 2025, held from February 2 to 6, 2025, in Bangkok.
Led by Dr. Mohamad Syafiq Abdul Wahab, a researcher from EMZI Group, the team secured two gold medals and a special award from the National Institute for Research & Development in Chemistry and Petrochemistry, Bucharest, Romania, for EMZI Group's product. Additionally, UiTM researchers under Nano Core Lab earned one gold medal, a Special NRCT Award, and a silver medal.
Lab Director, Ts. Ir. Mohamed Syazwan, stated that the core values of EMZI NANO-CORE, represented by I-SAVE (Innovation, Synergy, Agile, Value-Driven, Empathy), were successfully embodied by the EMZI-UiTM hybrid innovation team in their participation at the prestigious international innovation competition, IPITEx 2025, in Bangkok. He further emphasized that this university-industry collaboration has been elevated to a higher level, gaining international recognition and ensuring sustainability, demonstrating trust in the products and R&D outcomes developed at EMZI NANO-CORE Lab and EMZI Group.
The team members involved in this achievement include Alia Khalidah Ismail, Nurfarwizah Adzuan Hafiz, Nur Lina Syahirah Mustapa, Amiesha Nur Shaheerah Mazlan, and Siti Nursyazweena Zulkarnain. This success reaffirms the commitment of EMZI-UiTM Nano Core Lab to advancing innovation and scientific research.
