To prepare delegate to undertake the responsibilities of their role as a loggist
By the end of this course delegates will
Be aware of the role of the NHS and the HPA (Health Protection Agency) in relation to major incident response and recovery
Be able to recognise local/ regional command and control structures.
Understand the role of a loggist and the environment in which they may be utilised during a major incident.
Have an understanding of the importance of the legal aspects and requirements in relation to logs, record keeping and documentation best practice.
Gain an overview of recording methods for logging.
Fundamental role – capturing information for decision making during an incident or ‘emergency’ following ‘best practice’.
How? – Through logging
Why? – To capture the decision making process to aid with response to the incident or ‘emergency’ AND from which may lead to future inquiries which may have a legal process.
What we will do – provide YOU with an overview of Command & Control, types of incidents and HOW you should undertake this important role should you be asked
