Hi! I'm Emre. Economist, data scientist, quant, and lifelong learner. I think "polymath" defines me much more accurately.

Since childhood, I have preferred to follow my curiosity and constantly learn and combine my studies. Nevertheless, I found the market much more interesting than purely academic research and studies. I believe; life is the lab of social sciences, and it is impossible to understand any social phenomenon without working in the lab of life. It is not possible to perceive social relations without functioning applied studies and diving deep into the market, especially in economics. This is why I prefer to advance my data science journey in the business world. Creative people follow – their – curiosity and constantly learn. They are not afraid of the change. And not hesitate to break their comfort zones. I know it is not always easy, but; there is no advancement and development in it. This is my core understanding of life. I believe life is a journey (so science is), and just like every free spirit, I enjoy it. I think my biggest passion is learning, discovering, and creating. I combine my research with business. Primarily technology concentrated scientific research has advanced outside of the academy. I always have instead connected academic studies and research with new companies. And as a data scientist, I love it.

Currently, I'm in the last stage of my Ph.D. and preparing to submit my thesis. Meanwhile, studying advanced AI applications and having an advanced data science Bootcamp. My goal is to build a strong background in scientific and programming experience to advance data science. I also believe in the power and importance of domain knowledge in data science. As a Ph.D. candidate economist, my primary focus is creating a game-changing contribution to the field.
