In 2019-2010, we sought to bring Classics to the broader community in Gainesville, Florida, beyond the University of Florida campus. Through partnerships with the UF Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere, the UF Department of Classics, and the UF Center for Greek Studies, we launched the Empowering Girls program with our community partner Girls Place, Inc. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our project was forced online but was still realized and carried out to great success.
