A New Spacecraft

Project: Spacecraft (Undecided name and type)

Timeframe: 2-2019 to present

Status: Just begun

I wanted a significant change of pace after Patriot Hill so here I am building a spacecraft. I just picked up a batch of windshields from eBay so I'm starting with the cockpit to work those in. Starting off with some nifty SNOT mechanics right at the nose and I like the commanding nature of the build so far. Above this text I captured the transition from standard window placement to the horizontal arrangement I like better, all because I happened to ask what the windows would look like if I used the back of those inverted slopes on either side of the windshield.

Patriot Hill Complete!

Project: Patriot Hill

Timeframe: 10-2018 to 1-2019

Status: Complete!

There are still some cosmetics to flesh out down the road and a bricklink order is needed to maintain the color scheme but the "big house" is 95% done and ready for the coffee table in my apartment.

I'm really pleased with the result of the project and have maintained the initial criteria:

Interior access at each level
Built in basement garage
Minifigure compatibility
Split-level construction style

The final floor most recently completed has some issues with roof removal for easy access, I think I may do an intensive rework down the road. Look for another update with the finishing touches in a bit, but for now I'm shifting gears and starting a fresh project soon.....
