In order to maintain an active student organization and receive funding from MSS, there are several steps you need to complete.
If applicable, complete the SILT Chartering Process. Instructions can be found here. SILT approves new graduate organizations in the Spring semester
Group leaders must complete the SILT RSO Training Modules on Canvas by the deadline they require to maintain an active charter and speedtype.
Keep your information up to date with the MSS. If your leadership or advisor changes, please inform a member of the MSS Admin Committee.
If you need funding throughout the year, fill out the funding request form at least the Friday before the MSS meeting at which you plan to request money.
Complete the short MSS Event Form within 7 days of any MSS sponsored event.
After your event that required funding, please ensure you submit your reimbursement within 30 days of the event.
Please note that 1) SGS does not process any reimbursements between August 15-30 between academic years and 2) that your Allocated Account funds do not roll over to the next academic year.
If you have a charter, you are eligible for an annual budget. To obtain one, make sure to submit your annual budget request on time and attend the budget meeting in May. Budget guidelines are available here.
At the end of the academic year, re-register your group on The Hub. Please be mindful of any leadership changes at this time and ensure you do not miss the deadline or your speedtype may become frozen. SILT will send instructions for how to re-register.
This information is important for us to stay in contact with you. If you fail to keep this information up to date, you may lose funding privileges.
