Emory is currently pursuing a Masters in Biostatistics at the University of Miami and holds a Bachelor of Science in community health promotion. Professionally, she is passionate about data integrity, as it is the foundation of the research used to inform so many factions of the systems we exist in. Policy is only as good as the research that informs it, and the research is only as good as the data's integrity. All of which manifests as the care received in a doctors office, the laws passed, or the resources allocated in our community — and it connects to each of our very real, vibrant lives. Outside of work she enjoys the most important things in this short life; spending time with family and loved ones, cooking with friends, nature, attending community craft nights and getting into all sorts of creative shenanigans. She is also a member of the Software Carpentries and assists with teaching free intro to programming workshops once a semester.

She is multilingual, codes in R, maps in GIS, and has work experience ranging from research & legal services to teaching & customer service. She has been a part of several nationally funded programs such as the NIH Build EXITO research trainee program & NSF SMED REU at University of Washington. She is currently working as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the CRANE Lab, and has 5 years of experience in data management and data wrangling.Emory Neer
