Privacy Policy for EmojiDrop Last updated: April 22, 2026
Overview EmojiDrop ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to browse, search, and copy emojis to their clipboard. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension does and does not collect.
Data Collection EmojiDrop does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. The Extension has no backend server, makes no network requests, and sends no data to any third party.
Local Storage The Extension stores one item on your device: your recently used emoji history (up to 20 emojis). This data is stored locally using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. It exists only on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and can be cleared at any time by removing the extension.
Clipboard Access The Extension writes to your clipboard only when you explicitly click an emoji. It never reads your clipboard contents.
Permissions The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions: — clipboardWrite: to copy an emoji to your clipboard upon your click. — storage: to remember your recently used emojis between sessions. No other permissions are requested or used.
Third Parties EmojiDrop does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. No data is shared with anyone.
Children's Privacy The Extension does not collect data from any users, including those under the age of 13.
