Project 1: Investigative Field Essay

Major Revisions: 

1. Literature Review: I enhanced the coherence and removed some redundancies to tighten certain explanations (i.e. repeated ideas about action potentials and GABA) and added strengthened academic-tone by replacing certain phrases with more formal, research-oriented language.

2. Methodology: I added a clear research-method structure, splitting the section into literature review procedures and analysis of observational/experimental methods from sources. In addition, I strengthened academic rigor and specified the databases used, why the sources were selected, and clarified the neurophysiological factors that were analyzed.

3. Conclusion: I included a stronger synthesis of findings, combining themes such as the thalamus, cortical networks, universal connectivity failure, and EEG patterns. In addition, I further explained the anesthetic effects at both structural and functional levels. Finally, I added forward-looking implications, highlighting future directions for anesthetic drug design and clinical practice.
