My main asset is being able to tell clear and engaging stories, even when dealing with complex topics.
I have experience across all 'levels' of storytelling, from content creation to strategic leadership.
I have experience leading small teams through times of change, and managing large projects with limited resources.
I also specialise in content creation for travel-trade, and nature / wildlife.
This has made me especially skilled at working with niche and fledgling projects and organisations, to build strong strategies, plans and practices that ensure differentiation in the marketplace.
Although I'm now located in the Southampton area, the majority of my Portfolio of Work is from 2017 to 2023, while I was living in St Helena Island, South Atlantic Ocean.
Living on such a remote island with extremely limited internet (some of the slowest and most expensive on Earth), meant I didn't keep my social media accounts updated; but also meant that I was presented with incredible challenges and opportunities. For instance:
I saw a local media organisation through four years of successful operations and subsidy decrease (as CEO/Editor-in-Chief);
Established the first national brand for St Helena Island (now in use by St Helena Tourism and being launched by St Helena Government), whilst building the government's first Marketing Department; and
Undertook freelance photography, writing, filming, production, and graphic design.
