Joined with Eucharistic revival, we also need a revival of deeper immersion in the Word of God--this is the wisdom of Emmaus (cf. Lk 24:13-49). The Lord Jesus who is present in the Eucharist is present as One who speaks, encourages, acts, heals, and builds up with anointed words from His heart to our heart. These words, full of Spirit and Life, are received through our prayerful engagement with the Word of God. Emmaus Journey helps us to live this spirituality, and indeed mysticism, of the Word and Eucharist.”
