Deep Roots, Deeper Connections
by EMMANUEL REGAÑON GAMANA, MAED GC., LPT
This is how my conscience cries every time I remember my long-lost best friend, Waldemar Castino. Since studying Philosophy together, it had been our dream to write and share our thoughts with the world. Unfortunately, he could no longer fulfill that dream, as he passed away just a month after our graduation.
In light of this, I started this blog—primarily in his honor, secondarily for his beloved family, and thirdly for anyone interested in meaningful reflections. This content may not directly relate to your field of expertise or life’s endeavors, but for several reasons, it may still stir your heart and mind as you read through its pages.
This blog would not have come into existence without my unwavering passion to bring our dream to life. Otherwise, it would have remained a hopeless mental idea—an unfulfilled vision of best friends recorded only in the history of mankind. Here, I will share insights that are either common knowledge or forgotten realizations from the past—ideas that need to be revived for this generation.
Through this blog, you will come to understand the reasons behind its delayed creation. However, as long as I am still alive, I will live by the Spanish dictum "Más vale tarde que nunca," which means "Better late than never."
I believe that in God’s own time (kairos) and through His grace, all things will fall into place. That is why I have said to myself that I have much to express—not necessarily because of divine dictation, but because I have the will to do so. The freshness of my experiences will be my point of departure, leading me both away from and back to my comfort zone as I build this blog. I know that achieving one’s goal takes extraordinary effort and enthusiasm, but I am ready to embrace the challenge.
