Hello! My name is Emma Manolovic and I am currently a senior studying Health Services Management at IU Indianapolis. Over the past four years I have been involved in a variety of activities and employment that all make me who I am. During my time at IU Indianapolis I played for the IUPUI Women's soccer team all four years. This has given me a great opportunity not only as an athlete but also as a professional. It taught me hard work, time management, and holding others and myself accountable. It also has given me an incredible network that got me my current internship at the IU School of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Through soccer, my team has been involved in a variety of different volunteer activities from Star Soccer to Freshman move-in day to helping out at the Indiana state fair. I have also recently joined the Public Health Volunteer Corps and took part in the Stop the Bleed Volunteer training. Outside of healthcare and soccer I enjoy water and snow skiing, embracing my Serbian heritage, and trying new foods and cultures.
Ever since I was a little girl I always knew that I loved caring for others. While I didn't know exactly what I wanted to be, I was always drawn to healthcare. It is inevitable that at some point in our lives we will need a form of healthcare. That can entail a regular check up in the physicians office or a surgery at a local hospital. No matter which aspect of healthcare you are utilizing there is always room for improvement and I want to be apart of it!
