At the closing of my first semester of college, I was given the opportunity to Assistant Direct Madyn Harris' capstone project. The play was an original work written and performed by Madyn herself. It is the second show in a trilogy highlighting archetypes of women's place in society. Although the play has a bright and fun 1950s exterior, the clever use of dark humor and satire brings out the true message of the story. For this show, I had the pleasure of being Madyn's second set of eyes. Since she was also performing in the show, it was difficult to direct, so we worked together to figure out blocking, the tone of the show, and how we could best portray this poor housewife character. The show was a one-night-only performance where I also sound-designed and ran the sound for the show.

I had been a part of CSTC's competition team for 3 years so being able to come back for a 4th and Assistant Direct alongside my mentors and friends was the best oppurtunity I could think of. I got a look at what being a director is like in a professional setting and got to work with adults in the business. As the Assistant Director I got to block two major songs "Here on Who" with the help of my Assistant Choreogrpaher Trever Groce, and I got to do "All For You". In addition I worked with actors on some of the little scenelets, did works when we started running the show, and worked with our Cat in the Hat at put in rehearsals for him, making sure he knew all his blocking before being added to the cast. During tech I worked with the rest of my creative team and designers to make sure the show looked the best it could be.

I was given the opportunity to co-direct this production with my friend Moira for our Production Lab class. This show was done in rep with another show, Shakespeare in Hollywood. Moira and I were given the reins for this production and we ran with it. From cutting the script into a one-act form to pre-blocking and blocking to polishing, to tech rehearsals, and eventually to performance. This show was particularly challenging due to the amount of magical effects in it as well as helping out actors fully commit to the campiness and insane world of Rough Magic. In the end, I am so proud of the work we did on this show and it will forever hold a special place in my heart as my first big directing debut.

As a part of my Production Lab class, we were put in charge of directing one of seven plays for a 10-minute play festival. The plays were written by the students in the Dramatic Writing class and I was given the pleasure of directing "Put That Book Down!" written by Anneliese Dunn. As a part of the class, we also had to watch all the auditions and cast our plays from those people. This play presented physical comedy, magic, and a hilarious all female cast.

As a part of my Production Lab class, we were put in charge of directing one of seven plays for a 10-minute play festival. The plays were written by the students in the Dramatic Writing class and I was given the pleasure of directing "Horsin' Around" written by Tomi Fawehinmi. As a part of the class, we also had to watch all the auditions and cast our plays from those people. This play presented the challenge of a moving, weight-bearing, Trojan Horse.

September 2023
This show was a part of SotA's 2nd annual 24-hour play festival. This year I was paired with Rjai who created a hilarious meta-theatrical script called "This is a Play". This play blended the real world and the theatre world into one crazy story following our main character, and the author serving as kind of a guide.

This show was created and performed in 24 hours for SotA's annual 24-hour play festival. I was paired with my good friend Tomi who is a brilliant playwright. She wrote an entire 10-minute play in one night. The play was called "The Oval Office: What if common sense wasn't so common?". It revolved around a president who had no common sense and her government officials who are desperately trying to keep the country together.
