You want learning to be engaging, meaningful, and sustainable — whether you’re leading a classroom, shaping curriculum, or guiding others through wellness practices. I help educators, facilitators, and learning leaders grow with clarity and confidence by:
Simplifying complexity: breaking down frameworks and strategies into practical steps you can actually use.
Strengthening practice: offering tools, coaching, and processes that elevate teaching and learning.
Building systems that last: so growth doesn’t end when the workshop or session does.
Together, we’ll create the conditions where you and your learners thrive.
Specializing in Strategic Planning within an IB Context and Literacy Expertise for International Schools
Hi, I’m Emily.
I’m an independent educational consultant based in Bangkok, Thailand, and I’ve spent the last 15 years working in education — 10 of those in international schools across Asia. My work is all about helping schools and teachers make learning more meaningful, intentional, and effective.
I specialize in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), partnering with schools to design strong curricula, strengthen teaching practice, and prepare for accreditation. My approach is collaborative and practical — I love working alongside teachers to turn complex ideas into clear, usable strategies that actually make a difference in the classroom.
Alongside my independent consulting work, I collaborate with Erin Kent Consulting (EKC), supporting schools around the world with curriculum strategy, literacy development, and whole-school professional learning. I’m also an IB Educator Network (IBEN) workshop leader and a DP Literature examiner, and I’ve served in leadership roles that include MYP Coordinator and curriculum strategist. Before stepping into consulting, I taught English Language and Literature for many years and still consider myself a teacher at heart.
I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English Language and Literature and a secondary teaching credential in English Language and Literature (Grades 6–12) from Washington, D.C. I’m currently pursuing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Adult Learning Theory. In addition to my work in schools, I’m a 200-hour certified yoga teacher — and I often bring the principles of mindfulness and embodied learning into my work with educators.
At the center of everything I do is a simple belief: schools thrive when people do. My goal is to help teachers, leaders, and schools build systems that support deep learning, foster collaboration, and create spaces where both educators and learners can grow.
