Fall 2025 Student Work
Building off of vertical lines, horizontal lines make up each vertical, with no repeated weights, and random intervals for a composition that reveals the vertical line.
Through adding diagonal lines, black and white spaces interact with each other to create dimension and layers among different angles.
This project introduced photography, cropping, and black-and-white level editing in Photoshop. Look at how each photo's lines work together to hide or support a grid pattern.
Similar to the previous, but examining shapes in the environment and how they come together through lights and darks.
Hiding the grid pattern with color, while also using nine images that work together in a diagonal of light levels.
Introduced curved lines through four different degrees of curvature and one with an enclosed curve shape. Also, look at how pairs of lines create major and minor shapes through spacing and placement.
Like previous, but highlighting the positive and negative shapes created by each line, you can really observe the levels of the curve here.
Grid Series Project, #1 - 4
"Adding Circle to Grid"
Each step of this project adds a new advancement to the 10 x 10 grid squares and adds the circle shape in a different way. Using circle outlines, dashed lines, textures, and whole circles creates this grid-based design
The fourth grid introduces a theme - weather - and a photo and letterform related to it.
My goal was to make a detailed illustration of myself as an interpretation of a character from Alice in Wonderland - the white rabbit. Though tedious, the little details in the background, clothing, accessories, and more really bring together the work as a whole. You can see themes of this project throughout this website, as it was very inspirational for me and my work, especially the color palette of teals and neutrals.
Duality/Metaphor Project
This project introduced Photoshop to bring multiple elements together in a photo. Using a lineage of music stars as a timeline, black-and-white compositions were created with pops of color and integrated for a connection throughout music genres.
Nostalgic influences made up this project of an example deck of cards and box. The theme of "Dolls" inspired the illustration and frames around each card as an unapologetic love letter to my inner child and whimsicality.
