I am currently working on my Capstone project at California State University, Channel Islands, which examines the impact of seasonal changes on the population density of sand dollar species at Cabrillo Beach. My hypothesis suggests that populations will peak during warmer months due to favorable conditions and decline during colder months. To test this, I am conducting a systematic survey using quadrats and underwater cameras to assess sand dollar populations along designated transects under the pier.
