Recognized Student Organizations

First Generation Advocates (FGA) helps support first generation students at Penn State, usually defined to be those students for which at least one guardian did not complete a college degree.

The Math Department Graduate Student Association (GSA) aims to (1) create a line of communication between the math graduate students and the department administration and (2) facilitate a positive climate among the math graduate students.

Students for Life (SFL) aims at promoting a culture of life on campus.

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) organizes students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government.

Uncensored America (UA) embraces freedom of speech through inviting speakers to college campuses.

Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) is a conservative youth activism organization. It was founded as a coalition between traditional conservatives and libertarians on American college campuses.

Volunteerism and Outreach Programs

PAW Pals goes to local elementary schools once a month and works with students on science experiments that align with their curriculum.

The Science Achievement Graduate Fellows (SAGF) program is organized by the Eberly College of Science, and it promotes the involvement of women in the sciences through scholarships, a lecture series, and outreach.
