Research

My research currently explores the use of geometric methods in modular representation theory of algebraic groups.  The motivating project for my PhD (since 2021) was to find a new proof for the description of the blocks in the category of representations of a reductive algebraic group (over a field of positive characteristic), by using the geometric Satake equivalence and Smith-Treumann theory as developped by Riche-Williamson. I am now working on getting an incarnation of the category of  G1T-modules in terms of perverse sheaves, by adapting the work of Arkhipov-Bezrukavnikov-Braverman-Gaitsgory-Mirkovic.
